Making Room

I will no longer be posting on this blog. If you have any concerns or need to contact me, please e-mail or call me. I will write e-mails to parents if I have any announcements or reminders. I will continue to give home study students information when we exchange journals on Sundays. Thank you for supporting the seminary program.

Stake President's Award

These are the requirements to earn it:

*Ninety percent or higher attendance [allowed to make up 10 absences]

*No more than sixteen tardies during the year [allowed to make up 12 tardies]

*Read the assigned books and chapters of the New Testament

*Read the New Testament (on your own) at least ten minutes per day for 220 days

*Identify and understand the doctrines and principles presented in class and in the scripture reading, teaching these by the Spirit

*Present a ten-minute doctrinal talk in a sacrament meeting, as assigned by a member of the bishopric or branch presidency

*Participate in a missionary lesson—simulated or real

*Complete all assigned Student Study Guide work and other written work

*Watch (or read, if necessary) and take notes on eight General Conference Sessions—Can include General Young Women’s meeting

*Master the twenty-five Scripture Mastery passages, being able to explain the doctrines and principles contained in those passages

*Memorize ALL twenty-five Scripture Mastery passages
OR
Memorize sixteen Scripture Mastery passages and keep a daily “scripture journal”
OR
Memorize eight Scripture Mastery passages and research a doctrine or principle from one of those eight; write a fifteen to twenty minute talk/ roughly ten pages (to be carefully reviewed by your teacher), and present it in a setting deemed appropriate by your bishop or branch president
