Brother Koehler, a man with a great knowledge and love for the scriptures, will be substituting in seminary for a few days. He began class sharing the context of what we have been learning in seminary. He had a student draw a map of the Sea of Galilee, Capernum, and Mt. Hermon on the chalkboard. (He said she did an impressive job and that he'll take a camera with him tomorrow.) He showed the class where to find the Harmony of the Gospels that shows what we have been studying. It's found in the Bible Dictionary. Then he asked three students to read the different accounts of those events that happened between the Mt. of Transfiguration and where Jesus taught in Matthew 18.
Jesus said that unless we are converted and become like a little child, we can't enter the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 18:3). The focus of the lesson was on the principle of conversion and the qualities we should develop. They read Mosiah 3:19 and finished the class with Moroni 10:32.
Tomorrow, Brother Koehler said the students should finish memorizing Matthew 16:15-19. They are doing an excellent job memorizing.
Thank you Brother Koehler!!!
