Three

For our devotional, we read the first paragraph under “Sacrifice” in the book _True to the Faith_ and talked about the sacrifices in our lives, including coming to seminary. We heard about a boy from a local ward who hopped on his bike and rode all across the city to get to seminary because his ride didn't show up. Now that's sacrifice! We are blessed for participating in the seminary program.

We marked Matthew 6:24 for scripture mastery. If you put your finger in sand, take it out, and try to count the tiny particles of sand on your finger, it would be difficult and would take a while. Moses 7:30 says, “And were it possible that man could number the particles of the earth, yea, millions of earths like this, it would not be a beginning to the number of thy creations.”

God is powerful. Jesus Christ can help us if we come unto Him. This was the focus of our lesson today. We read Matthew 11:28-30 that talks about coming unto Christ and about how we can do that. It’s not just what we do; it’s also how we feel that helps us come unto Him. We watched a video from the New Testament DVD presentations that helped illustrate how we need Him and how He can help us if we let Him.
