24

A student did a beautiful job singing "Amazing Grace" this morning for our devotional. She had a lot of courage to share her talent with us. Then she shared a scripture from the Book of Mormon about how, through the atonement of Jesus Christ, we are saved by grace after all we can do. Great devotional!

For our lesson today, we read Matthew 9:10-12 where Christ says, "They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick." We talked about how He can heal us spiritually. Then we ate apple cinnamon muffins and watched two movies from the New Testament seminary DVD. One shows a family that suffers from doubt, guilt, frustration, selfishness, feelings of being overwhelmed, and feelings of disunity when the mom is in the hospital with a serious illness. The movie shows how they exercise faith and are spiritually healed. The other movie reviews the story of Jesus Christ teaching Nicodemus about being born again. Both stories show how we can come to Him and be healed.
Remember, there will be no seminary Monday and Tuesday next week because of Colombus Day and Tuesday is a no-school day for some school districts. See you Wednesday!
